The M.D. of Wainwright No. 61 wishes to advise Municipal Ratepayers that as per the current, Waste Collection Contract with GFL of Canada Corporation, the rates, as per the below schedule, will be effective January 1, 2023.

These rates are standard for servicing once every two weeks and are subject to change from year to year. The MD of Wainwright currently stocks 3 YD and 6 YD bins.
Major appliances MUST be taken to the appropriate landfill sites for proper disposal. These landfill sites are located in the Town of Wainwright and the Villages of Chauvin, Edgerton and Irma.

Please note that GFL does advance billing for their clients. This means that bills are invoiced at the beginning of the service period.
Bin Accessibility
In order for GFL to service the bins, please ensure that the bin is accessible to be tipped from the front and that roadways leading to the bin are clear for the trucks to travel. If GFL is unable to service the bin due to inaccessibility, they will attempt on the next scheduled service date.
We, along with GFL, recommend that the garbage bins be moved closer to your driveway approach to ensure that inaccessibility issues do not occur.
Bin Deliveries & Changes
GFL will complete bin deliveries, bin swap outs (for different sizes), and bin removals during the last week of every month.
Residential Door To Door Service
GFL Environmental Inc. will be completing the waste collection and recycling services for the M.D. of Wainwright.
