The M.D. of Wainwright is pleased to announce the newly created Shelterbelt Establishment Program is officially open for applications!
This new program operates under a 50/50 cost share model on a first-come, first-served basis and is available to M.D. of Wainwright ratepayers to utilize for up to 1,000 trees per year per applicant. Pre-selected species are being offered in the inaugural year and include blue spruce, white spruce, lodgepole pine, okanese poplar, Manitoba maple, trembling aspen, red osier dogwood and villosa lilac through a partnership with TreeTime – visit https://treetime.ca/ for resources and to start planning your spring shelterbelt today!
